Tom Hiddleston, whom most of us know best as Loki from the Marvel Avengers franchise (but who also of course if known for roles in Crimson Peak, Kong: Skull Island and High Rise) has for a couple of days now been confirmed as a guest at MCM comic con in London this October. The details are still slim as to the actual time table, although presumably with a guest this big, he’ll be involved in at least 1 panel, and you are now able to order your photo ops and autograph slots on the MCM website… Although as yet without confirmation of the times.
I have to say that even though I know that he’s a big star these days, the prices are a little steep in my opinion – I’ve never seen a guest at a con charge quite this much! Both the photo op and the autograph are currently independently priced at £225 each with extra prints and email jpegs of the photo costing an extra £8 each. Especially if he does a panel, I imagine that there will be some kind of Loki package, but that’s not available yet.
What do you think of these prices?
In terms of health and safety it will be the same idea as at MCM Birmingham where the photo will be done in person but with a perspex shield between the customer and the celebrity. The details on the online shop are given as:
“Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 is required for Tom Hiddleston autographs & photos and all fans are also required to wear a face covering in the photo op & autographing areas. Fans can briefly remove the face covering for their photo. Please ensure you are comfortable with this before buying a photo op or an autograph as these are non-refundable after Oct 14.”
