Every Pokemon – Generation II

Generation II was active from 1999 until 2002 and covered the gold, silver and crystal Pokemon titles on Game Boy Color and the Nintendo 3DS eventually through re-releases. These re-releases and the natural changes within the individual Pokemon to accommodate where their stories took them over the following years do mean that some of these Generation II Pokemon are listed below as they are today, which is not necessarily how they were in 1999. For example Umbreon changed from poison type of dark type.

How many Pokemon are in Generation II?

For Generation II this question is actually one of the easiest as Generation II doesn’t have any glitches or regional forms etc, so we saw just 100 new Pokemon added to the game during Generation II.

What are all of the Pokemon in Generation II?

The list below is meant to give you an idea of the name, type and evolutions of every Pokemon as they are today, but I will try to cover any of these changes in notes at the end if you’re interested and checking up on your knowledge!

Notes

  1. Umbreon started out as a poison type, however after it was change to dark type, before the next generation came out it was the first and only pure dark type.

I'm a collector of pop culture items, with by far my biggest collection being in excess of 1,200 DVDs (yeah I still stay old school - can't wrap my head around the whole streaming thing yet), as well as various figures and Memorabilia (with most of these being McFarlane Walking Dead 5 inch figures, Funko Pop and Funko Pint Size Heroes, with a few other exceptions too). I'm a massive nerd and giant child at heart so feel free to have a chat about anything toy and movie related. My biggest movie passions are horror by far (especially slasher and zombie), sci fi and to a lesser extent action and comedy.
