Nerd News: Funko Fair Announce Major League Baseball & NBA Legends Pops

The sports and games day got off to a slow start but when the sports pops started coming they were ones which I had seen people really looking forward to on Social media. I don’t follow either sport so I can’t comment too much, but the Michael Jordan pop in particular has got a lot of people feeling pretty happy today!

Alongside Jordan, other NBA Legends include Hakeem Olajuwon, George Gervin, Dominique Wilkins, Julius Erving, Scottie Pippen, Allen Iverson, Isiah Thomas and a name you don’t need to be a basketball fan to know – Dennis Rodman – This is one sports pop I might even get for myself! The Michael Jordon by the way is a Funko Shop exclusive.

Moving on to the second much loved American sport, Major League Baseball with a number of teams being represented by Jose Berrios, Ozzie Albies, Stephen Strasburg, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Corey Seager, Fernando Tatis Jr., Whit Merrifield, Cody Bellinger, Javier Baez, Anthony Rendon, Gerrit Cole, Christian Yelich, Ketel Marte, Mookie Betts and Pete Alonso… That’s a big addition to this set!

I'm a collector of pop culture items, with by far my biggest collection being in excess of 1,200 DVDs (yeah I still stay old school - can't wrap my head around the whole streaming thing yet), as well as various figures and Memorabilia (with most of these being McFarlane Walking Dead 5 inch figures, Funko Pop and Funko Pint Size Heroes, with a few other exceptions too). I'm a massive nerd and giant child at heart so feel free to have a chat about anything toy and movie related. My biggest movie passions are horror by far (especially slasher and zombie), sci fi and to a lesser extent action and comedy.
