Nerd News: Huge Wave of New Funko Soda Figures Announced

Available to pre-order now (although some of these have already sold out in the pre-order), from Entertainment Earth is a huge new range of Soda figures from the popular Funko range which started off as mainly really limited runs, but are starting to get a lot of bigger runs come through as well… Check them out!

Firstly one of those big runs it’s Thanos limited to 20,000 with a chase version not wearing a helmet, but with a big smile on his face.

Secondly, each with 15,000 figures made are 2 from the Marvel lucha libre range in the form of El Venenoide where the common has a white spider on his chest and a black one for the chase along with possibly being metallic. He is joined by El Ehroe Invicto where the chase also looks to be metallic.

There’s another new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles one with Rocksteady (limited to 10,000) joining the action and he’s got another of those awesome looking black-light chase versions. With other animation soda additions being Duck Dodgers (limited to 8,000) whose chase is a slight color variation and metallic, Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia (limited to 20,000) which has a glow in the dark chase and Scare Glow from Masters of the Universe (limited to 7,000).

There’s a gaming one too this time which is awesome to see and it’s Sonic the Hedgehog, which also comes with a flocked chase version. This one is limited to 12,500 pieces.

There are finally a few movie figures with Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad whose chase has a big mallet rather than the baseball bat of the common – I do like it when they just have a subtle difference like that. This one is 12,500. She is also joined by horror icon Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre where the chase is covered in blood and the figure is limited to 12,500, with the final figure being limited to just 10,000 – this figure is Snake Plissken from Escape from New York – What a cool character to base a figure on!
