Nerd News: Day 3 of Funko Wrap up Some Fun Christmas Announcements

There’s one thing which has come up a few times during these few days of announcements and I’m not sure how I feel about them, I certainly don’t think I’ll be getting any, unless it’s just the one to make up my mind about them properly, and that’s the various card games which they’re releasing. Yesterday they announced more of these for Frosty the Snow Man, Elf and Gremlins.

Another weird addition which they’ve added on for their Harry potter line is not 1, 2 or 3 snow globes, just to dip their toes in and see if people wan these… Because, really, who still collects snow globes? No, they’ve announced 12 of them!

The Harry Potter range does also include a new set of 5 pops (including a 6 inch), 4 pocket pop key-rings and yet another advent calendar, which again makes my choice easy for this year. I think it’s a shame that they have done the same franchise 2 years in a row for the advent calendars.

Finally yesterdays announcements did include one which I could sink my teeth in to which is a new one for their Die Hard range. It is John McClane from the first Die Hard movie when he runs through the glass with bare feet. REALLY cool pop, but I’m not sure why they went for a black tank top. On the box art it looks like the top is just very dirty which would have made sense, but at no point does it run around with a black tank top on…

I’ll still be buying it though!

Author: Figures 'n' Films

I'm a collector of pop culture items, with by far my biggest collection being in excess of 1,200 DVDs (yeah I still stay old school - can't wrap my head around the whole streaming thing yet), as well as various figures and Memorabilia (with most of these being McFarlane Walking Dead 5 inch figures, Funko Pop and Funko Pint Size Heroes, with a few other exceptions too). I'm a massive nerd and giant child at heart so feel free to have a chat about anything toy and movie related. My biggest movie passions are horror by far (especially slasher and zombie), sci fi and to a lesser extent action and comedy.
