Nerd News: The Drive in by Secret Cinema

One company which has been looking outside the box for ways to keep us entertained and keep at least some cash flow going is Secret Cinema. Now that their secret sofa events have finished, they are coming at us with a new concept – one which gets us out of the house again!

The drive in cinema!

It’s going to be complete with portable speakers for your car and a menu inspired by classic American diners! Head over to their website now to see full details of what looks like a step in the right direction again for this company which takes movies, adds a splash of theatrics and mixes up an absolute stonker of an event!

This drive in cinema experience will be in Goodwood, West Sussex and tickets start at £50 per car of up to 5 people… Pack the car out (within your social bubble or household of course) and you’ve got a lovely evening out of the house for a tenner each!

The films which they’ll be showing are below – check the site for details and dates of each movie, with tickets going on sale from 22nd June:

  • Rush
  • Star wars: a new hope
  • Moulin rouge
  • Toy story
  • The incredibles
  • Dirty dancing
  • Knives out
  • Mary poppins returns
  • Cars
  • Fight club
  • American psycho
  • Reservoir dogs
  • Pretty woman
  • Zootropolis
  • The hunger games
  • Moana

A really great selection of films, and just like secret sofa, they’ve also all got perfectly curated ice cream suggestions in association with Haagen-Dazs.

Love this…

Best of luck Secret Cinema!

I'm a collector of pop culture items, with by far my biggest collection being in excess of 1,200 DVDs (yeah I still stay old school - can't wrap my head around the whole streaming thing yet), as well as various figures and Memorabilia (with most of these being McFarlane Walking Dead 5 inch figures, Funko Pop and Funko Pint Size Heroes, with a few other exceptions too). I'm a massive nerd and giant child at heart so feel free to have a chat about anything toy and movie related. My biggest movie passions are horror by far (especially slasher and zombie), sci fi and to a lesser extent action and comedy.
