Nerd News: Exclusive Star Wars Medal of Yavin Pin and Commemorative Coins at Zavvi

It’s not a figure but it’s definitely movie related, and it’s a really cool piece at that! What drew me to this was mainly the announcement of the Medal of Yavin pin which is a worldwide exclusive to Zavvi, which comes to you complete in it’s own display box. Whilst it is made from a zinc alloy, this looks like some serious golden military bling and should be part of any serious Star Wars collectors display. Especially as it only costs £14.99 – Click on the image to go to the Zavvi shop:

But if that wasn’t cool enough for you, feast your eyes on these bad boys! There is a full set of 24 Star Wars commemorative coins (although there are some cool Avengers and Aliens ones too), each of which are also exclusive to Zavvi and limited to just 1,000 for the individual coins and 500 for the display case set. I don’t know about you but at £9.99 each these are pretty cool and include all our favourite characters including Darth Vader, Yoda, Chewbacca, Jabba the hut, Princess Leia, Stormtroopers and so many more – the full set is below!

All of these can be found at:

By the way, if you did fancy shelling out for the full set you can save a bit of money by bulk buying the whole lot for £129.99 (£5.42 each) or as part of the display case for £149.99 which you can buy by clicking the image below:

I’m not usually a huge coin collector, although I’ve got a few (especially the little squashed coins you can get at attractions, but I must say, that these are very cool looking, and whilst I’m not sure I’ll get the full collection myself, there are a few characters I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on and I’ll report back if I do!

And just FYI if you like these but don’t fancy the price much, or gold just isn’t your bag baby, then they do also have a much cheaper silver finish set which is limited to 5,000 and comes with a much lower price tag of £49.99:

Author: Figures 'n' Films

I'm a collector of pop culture items, with by far my biggest collection being in excess of 1,200 DVDs (yeah I still stay old school - can't wrap my head around the whole streaming thing yet), as well as various figures and Memorabilia (with most of these being McFarlane Walking Dead 5 inch figures, Funko Pop and Funko Pint Size Heroes, with a few other exceptions too). I'm a massive nerd and giant child at heart so feel free to have a chat about anything toy and movie related. My biggest movie passions are horror by far (especially slasher and zombie), sci fi and to a lesser extent action and comedy.
